At the regular meeting on February 10, 2004, starting at 6:30 P.M. in the Jefferson School cafeteria, the School Board will begin to discuss the student configuration for our three schools and which residential areas will send their students to each. If you are interested, please plan on attending.

For those parents/guardians living in the Edgewood development, Traina School will serve students in grades Kindergarten through third in the 2004/05 school year. If your child/children are currently enrolled at Monticello and attending Kindergarten, first, or second grade, he/she will attend Traina School next year. If you plan on enrolling your child for Kindergarten for the 2004/05 school year, the first 80 students enrolled will be attending Traina as well. There will be an AM/PM Kindergarten program at Traina for the 2004/05 school year.

During the month of February and the first week of March, interviews will be held for those current district employees interested in being a part of the new school. Positions include principal, principal’s secretary, clerk, and teaching staff. The School Board anticipates having the majority of the staff for Traina School selected by the middle of March.
